Customers use the Exegy Ticker Plant colocated with trade matching engines in order to get the lowest possible latencies. Firms also position Ticker Plants in data centers receiving direct feeds in order to consolidate machines and space and to lessen total cost of ownership. Depending on the number of incoming feeds and connecting applications downstream from the appliance, firms choose the appropriate Exegy appliance—Exegy Limited Edition, Exegy Ticker Plant (Standard Edition) or Exegy Total Connect. There is also an Exegy Exchange Connect product for exchanges that need to bring in multiple feeds into their locations. Feed handler logic is built into every appliance and kept up to date by Exegy Operations.
