Vault Report: STAC-A2 Risk Computation on 2x Intel 6980P Processors with RDIMMs

2x Intel 6980P Processors with 1.5TB RDIMMs

20 May 2025

Intel recently performed the STAC-A2 Benchmark tests on a stack consisting of 2 x Intel Xeon 6980P Processors, 1.5TB in RDIMMs and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.5.

The Report is now available to Premium subscribers here.

At the recent New York STAC Summit, STAC announced the results of a STAC A2 Audit together with Intel utilizing Micron MRDIMMs (https://stacresearch.com/INTC250422) and this unaudited Vault report serves as a comparison of an identical system but utilizing RDIMMs.

STAC-A2 is the technology benchmark standard for financial market risk analysis, evaluating the performance, scaling, quality, and resource efficiency of stacks capable of running a compute-intensive workload: Monte Carlo estimation of Heston-based Greeks for a path-dependent, multi-asset option with early exercise.
